Task Three: Currencies & Time Zones

The currency in China is known as the Chinese Kuan or CNY for short & as of September 1st 2008, one Australian dollar would get you 5.83 Chinese Kuan.

The time-zone in China is known as UTC +8, meaning that China are two hours behind the east-coast of Australia (Sydney, Melbourne) which is in UTC +10, some conversions appear below - please note that Australian time (AEST) appears first then the China time follows:
  • 7am AEST - 5am (China)
  • 12:15pm - 10:15am
  • 3pm - 1pm
  • 8:30pm - 6:30pm
  • 10:45pm - 8:45pm
  • 0:30am (12:30am) - 22:30pm (10:30pm)

The best time to call someone in China would be at 9pm AEST, because it would be 7pm in China & most people would have come back from work/school & finished dinner by then.
